The identity for L’Atelier Rouge — a floral design studio in New York — started with the client’s need to tailor its website and brand after five years of existence in the US market. L’Atelier Rouge contacted us with the requirement of maintaining its “floral punk” image, but with a more contemporary and minimalist touch. Bright and bold colours are mixed and combined with floral illustrations and photography, resulting in a contemporary and “cool” image without losing sight of the seriousness the brand wants to transmit to its clients.
The patterns in the identity are based on the different flowers and plants the company uses for its designs, while each of the members from the multicultural team are hidden behind the flower heads. Lastly, the combination of form, bright colours, and sketches represents the edginess of L’Atelier Rouge, concluding in a fully customised identity and website design.
