Ramblito

Ramblito is a café in my town of Larissa, Greece. For the opening of the café in November 2012 I came up with a name inspired by the famous Barcelona street Las Ramblas.

Ramblito

I tried to do something that would combine both a contemporary and a classic style, applying my skills with pen illustration.

I designed the ink stamps for Ramblito’s carry bags in order to be more economical with production costs. My inspiration came from Las Ramblas road and the famous Spanish artists, and the project took 40 days to complete.

Amazing pen and ink style. I love it. Not really digging the logo type, seems a bit crazy… maybe it had too much espresso. Maybe it will grow on me.

Nice to see something that is hand drawn and still rough around the edges. The mix of loose type works well, and it gives the whole thing a very personalized touch. Top marks.

I only wish the L was made more obvious (a tiny bit taller?), my first impression was a U, then a G, until I read the brand’s name. Other than that, stunning!
