Magnus & Magnus is a renowned restaurant in Gothenburg, Sweden. The design concept is based on a fairytale world — creatures combined with flying objects and jellyfish lamps, portraying the wit and imagination that you can almost taste while eating here. Everything from wallpaintings, invitation cards and menus were first hand-drawn then watercoloured. The concept stretches beyond the regular menus and wine lists, into the paintings and interior, to blur the line between graphic identity and a fairytale surrounding.
We wanted the customer to step into a world of taste and visual appeal, and the customers aren’t the only ones who find this appealing — the design concept is a runner up in the Swedish Design Awards 2015.
